Lake Lavon Parks

 
The Army Corps of Engineers operates 15 lakeside parks on Lake Lavon with boat ramps and other facilities. Some ramps are free; others charge a launch fee. An annual pass is available, good for use of all boat ramps except in Collin Park, which is operated by a private concession. Full-service marinas are located in Collin Park and East Fork Park and are operated by private concessions. All other lakeside parks are operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers (972) 442-3141. Amenities include;
 
Picnic facilities - Avalon, Clear Lake, Collin, Lavonia, Mallard, Tickey Creek, East Fork, Pebble Beach, Little Ridge, Caddo.

Trails - 
Sister Grove Park includes a 75-acre hike and bike trail located between Princeton and Farmersville.
 
The Trinity Trail is a 9-mile equestrian and hiking trail running from East Fork Park in Wylie to Highland Park in Lucas.
 
The Brockdale Park Trail Head is centrally located along the 25.5-mile long Trinity Trail and is physically located near the end of Brockdale Park Road in Lucas.
 
The South Trail takes riders on a 9-mile trek along the lake toward Wylie and the Eastfork Trail head.
 
The North Trail takes riders along a canopy path through the forest past the Black Prarie Raptor Center and toward the Highland Park trail head.
 
The Brockdale Park trailhead has a large open parking area with a drive through loop for trailers.

Pavillion - 
Lakeland Park - 35' x 50' shelter will accommodate 200 people, area will accommodate 400 - 500 people. 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. the following day, 14 day max. Available for reservation March 1 - Sept 30. Ten 12 ft.picnic tables, 1 large open cooker, 3 small cookers, electricity, drinking water, and restroom available, volleyball court, horse shoe pit, and a large open space available for organized sports and games. Area is physically seperated from the park area by a chain link fence and is adjacent to the lake. Swimming is at own risk (no designated beach nearby).Tent camping is allowed on the shoreline. No ground fires or trenching is allowed. Key may be picked up and dropped off at the park entrance building. A seperate user fee is required for boat launching except for annual permit holders.

Twin Groves
 
Located uplake on Twin Groves Creek. Take US 380 east from Mckinney, go about 12 miles and look for park entrance to the north, before crossing bridge. Two-lane boat ramp, no dock, Open all year
 
Caddo Park
 
Located uplake on the east shore. Take US 380 east from McKinney, go about 14 miles and look for signs on the north side designating park entrance. Fishing ponds in park; fee required, Four-lane boat ramp with dock, No boat fee, Open March-September, 6 am to 10 pm
 
Elm Creek
 
Located uplake on the east shore. From US 380 in Farmersville, take Texas 78 south 3.25 miles and look for park entrance on west side of road. One 2-lane boat ramp,No fee required, Open all year 
 
Lakeland Park
 
Located mid-lake on the east shore. From US 380 in Farmersville, take Texas 78 south 4 miles and look for park entrance on west side of road. Four-lane ramp, Camping fee includes boat launching,Park attendant on duty six days/wk. Controlled access - park closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. restroom - water available. Open March-September, 6 am to 10 pm
 
Tickey Creek
 
Located on the west shore of the east arm of the lake. Take FM 982 south from US 380 in Princeton. Go approximately 3.5 miles then turn east on FM 3364 in Culleoka. Park is about half a mile down on the right. Four-lane ramp, required, Open all year.
 
Pebble Beach
 
Located mid-lake on the east shore. From US 380 in Farmersville, take Texas 78 south 6 miles and look for park entrance on west side of road. Four-lane boat ramp, No fee, Open March-September, 6 am to 10 pm
 
Little Ridge
 
Located on the east shore off Texas 78 between Lavon and Farmersville. Four-lane boat ramp with dock,No fee, Open all year 
 
Mallard Park
 
Located downlake on the southeast shore. Take Texas 78 north from Lavon and look for park entrance on the west side of the road. Four-lane ramp with dock,Launch fee, Open all year.
 
Lavonia Park
 
Located downlake on the east shore. From Texas 78 north of Lavon, turn west on FM 6.Two 4-lane ramps, Courtesy dock Launch fee, Inside ramp open March-September, 6 am to 10 pm. Outside ramp open 24 hours year round.
 
Clear Lake Park
 
Located on the west shore of the east arm of the lake. Take FM 982 south from US 380 in Princeton. Go approximately 8.5 miles and look for signs designating park entrance.Two 4-lane boat ramps; courtesy dock at south ramp Launch fee, Open March-September, 6 am to 10 pm
 
Bratonia Park
 
Take FM 982 south from US 380 out of Princeton. Go approximately 5.5 miles, then turn right on FM 3286. Go about 1 mile then turn right on FM 546. Park is one mile on the west side of the road. Two-lane boat ramp, no dock, No fee, Open all year.
 
Highland Park
 
Located on the west shore of the Trinity River arm. Take Parker road east from Plano; turn left on FM 1378. Go about two miles and turn right on FM 3286. Follow road 2.5 miles and look for park entrance to the north. Four-lane boat ramp, no dock, No fee, Open all year.
 
Brockdale Park
 
Located on the west shore of the Trinity River arm. Take Parker Road east from Plano until it ends at FM 1378. Turn left, go about 2 miles, and turn right on FM 3286. Go 3/4 mile and look for park entrance on right. Four-lane boat ramp, no dock, No fee, Open all year
 
Collin Park
 
Located downlake on the west shore of the Trinity River arm. From US 75 in Plano, take Parker Road east to where it ends at FM 1378. Turn right, then take first left on FM 2514. Go about one mile, turn right, then go 1.5 miles. Watch for signs designating park entrance. Two 4-lane boat ramps Park entry fee required, Open all year

East Fork Park
 
Located downlake west of the dam. Take Texas 78 east from Wylie, turn north on County Road 389. Park entrance is near intersection of CR 389 and CR 384. Two 4-lane boat ramps, courtesy dock at east ramp, Launch fee, Open all year, 6 am to 10 pm Operated by US Army COE and East Fork Harbor Marina (972) 442-1143.
 
Avalon Park
 
Located downlake west of the dam. Take Texas 78 east from Wylie, turn north on County Road 434, and turn left (west) on CR 384. Look for park on right.Four-lane ramp with dock, Launch fee, Open March-September, 6 am to 10 pm.
